Hey loved ones.
ServPro at it again! They truly have been amazing to work with. We got an update today that all of our salvageable items are packed and moved away to an offsite location and that they’re going to start the cleaning process. To say they move quickly is an understatement. When we saw it yesterday all of our items were still out and our home looked like the quarantine scene from ET.
Insurance still needs to work with these companies to find a magic number for demo and repairs to start. But because of Kenny’s proactiveness and the efficiency of ServPro, we see forward movement which is relieving.
We will be in the area for three days early next week as Amy (hopefully) gets her braces brackets off and Kenny has an audit for work. We will peep in on the house then and maybe get some pics.
We are adjusting well at the summer home. Hailey has been such a trooper this whole experience. But we do look forward to the days she doesn’t wake up crying anymore.
Dodger and Kida are…Dodger and Kida. Doin’ their thing.
We will be looking into summer memberships for things like the zoo, children’s museum, etc. while we are here. We really want to take advantage of what this area has to offer and make it a fun time for Hailey.
Kenny and Amy are doing well. Happy to have good friends who have been far away near us again. We look forward to when things slow a little and we can take advantage of spending time with them, as well. Emotions come and go in waves…like finding out Kenny saved Amy’s Africa backpack was a little overwhelming in a good way. It really could have been so much worse.
That’s it for now. For those who are still following our progress and doing occasional check ins – we love and appreciate you all so much. Just a “thinking of you guys” text sometimes comes at just the right time that fuels our tank.
Much love – Kenny, Amy and Hailey
